Silver for military students at the "Cambrian Patrol 2019" in Wales



CHISINAU, October 21, 2019 - Students of the Military Academy of the Armed Forces "Alexandru cel Bun " (AFMA) ranked second in the military patrol competition "Cambrian Patrol 2019", held in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland .

According to the commander-rector of AFMA, Colonel Sergiu Plop, 132 teams from 34 countries participated in the competition, which took place between October 17-19 this year, in Wales.

The source specified that the team of the academy, consisting of six students and two officers, covered, in the Cambrian mountains, 65 km on foot in 48 hours, with backpacks with a weight of 40 kilograms.

The "Cambrian Patrol" was first organized in 1960 in the Cambrian Mountains region on the west coast of Wales. The competition is considered one of the most difficult and prestigious military events and aims to test discipline and physical endurance.

The National Army participates for the third time in the "Cambrian Patrol".
