Military Academy, accredited by the Board of Directors of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research

CHISINAU, November 6, 2019 - The Military Academy of the Armed Forces (AFMA) "Alexandru cel Bun" received the Certificates for external evaluation of the quality of undergraduate programs, with full-time degree, in the specialties: Leadership of infantry subunits, leadership of artillery and command of communications and informatics subunits. The decision was taken by the Board of Directors of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research.

According to Colonel Sergiu Plop, rector-commander of (AFMA), in March 2019, the institution submitted to the agency the self-assessment reports for the three programs. Subsequently, the external evaluation commissions carried out a visit to the academy to verify how the evaluation standards stipulated in the External Quality Evaluation Guide were achieved.

The source specified that based on the information presented and the findings made during the visit, the external evaluation commission prepared the external evaluation reports, concluding that all accreditation standards correspond to the established requirements.

The commission also assessed the institutional capacity for research and training, as well as the performance of the reference period.

As a result, the Board of Directors of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research decided to accredit AMFA`s undergraduate programs for a period of 5 years.
