Poland`s experience in the protection of war veterans, addressed at an international conference in Chisinau(video)
CHISINAU, November 13, 2019 - The Center of Military History and Culture is hosting the International Conference "Together for the Future", organized by the Polish Association of Veterans Participating in Foreign Missions, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
The event, which takes place on November 13-15, is attended by soldiers and veterans of the National Army, students of the Military Academy of the Armed Forces "Alexandru cel Bun", officials from the Polish Embassy in Moldova and representatives of the Polish Armed Forces.
The commander of the National Army, Brigadier General Igor Gorgan, said at the opening of the activity that for the military and veterans in our country, the experience of Polish comrades on the legislation and assistance systems for veterans at the international level is very important. "We have veterans of the 1992 war for independence and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova, as well as veterans of the National Army, who participated in the post-conflict mission to restore Iraq. Their professional and life experience is very useful for the active military and we want to capitalize on it further ", said Brigadier General Gorgan.
The conference agenda includes sessions and workshops, in which participants address topics related to Polish legislation and assistance systems for veterans, the work of non-governmental organizations in support of veterans, and the process of psychological assistance and rehabilitation for them.
Also, during the event, practical activities will be organized for filming and editing thematic video spots.
