About 40 explosive devices were destroyed by military engineers in November

CHISINAU, December 5, 2019 - The engineers of the National Army neutralized, in November, 36 explosive devices of different types throughout the country.

According to the head of the Engineering Service, Lieutenant-Colonel Adrian Efros, the largest number of ammunition - 20 artillery shells and an anti-personnel mine - were destroyed by soldiers from the "Codru" Engineer Battalion in Puhaceni, Anenii Noi district.

The explosive devices, discovered by the locals on an agricultural land, remained in the ground during the Second World War. These were transported to the training center of the unit to be destroyed in maximum safety.

It should be noted that during January-November this year, the engineering teams from the National Army units identified and liquidated 7,617 explosive devices in the localities from Anenii Noi, Causeni, Criuleni, Hincesti districts, as well as in Balti and Chisinau municipalities.
