Inspection visit at the "Stefan cel Mare" Brigade in the context of COVID-19

CHISINAU, March 19, 2020 - The Minister of Defense Alexandru Pînzari, together with the Chief of the General Staff, Brigadier General Igor Gorgan, paid a working visit to the “Stefan cel Mare” motorized infantry brigade, in order to check the way the measures are taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus. Thus, the Minister Pinzari inspected several buildings on the brigade's territory, including the canteen, the barracks, the warehouses, the car park and other military objectives.

At the same time, the official followed how the disinfection process of the transport units from the endowment of the unit is implementing according to the hygiene norms and became familiar with the sanitary procedures of the rooms and the military on term and on contract.

In the end, the Minister of Defense appreciated the efforts of the leadership of the "Stefan cel Mare" brigade in preventing respiratory infections among the military, by ensuring strict compliance with protection measures.

"I will continue to monitor the situation in this area in all garrisons, in order to avoid the spread of the infection and protect the subordinate staff from all risks related to this epidemic. We will maintain the quarantine status in the units until the situation improves ", concluded Alexandru Pinzari.
