Inspection visit to the Anti-Air Missile Regiment, in the context of COVID- 19 (video)

Chisinau, March 27, 2020 — The Minister of Defense Alexandru Pinzari and Chief of the General Staff, Commander of the National Army, Brigadier General Igor Gorgan, paid a working visit to the Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment to check how measures are being taken to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 and the degree of readiness of the unit to intervene in support of the National Police during the state of emergency.

The two officials documented themselves about the activity, the infrastructure, the service conditions, the endowment of the unit and the state of the military equipment, as well as the disinfection and protection procedures of the Regiment.

During the visit, Alexandru Pinzari and General Gorgan inspected the staff of the Regiment and the command point, the car park, the canteen and the barracks.

The Minister of Defense assessed the situation in the unit in terms of ensuring the sanitary and hygiene procedures of all buildings, transport units and, respectively, the military.

"I will continue to monitor the situation in this area in all garrisons, in order to avoid the spread of the infection and protect the subordinate staff from all risks related to this epidemic. We will maintain the quarantine status in the units until the situation improves", concluded Alexandru Pinzari.
