The National Army supports the National Police in maintaining public order

Chisinau, March 30, 2020 - About 200 military personnel and 27 technical units equipped by the National Army patrol and monitor public spaces helping police and carabineers.
According to the Operational Command of the Main Staff of the National Army mixed groups are wandering on the streets of the city and down the parks in the municipalities of Chisinau and Balti but also through the localities of the Hincesti and Singerei, to ensure that citizens comply with the quarantine and isolation regime at home.
At the same time, the crews of the Ministry of Defense, the National Patrol Inspectorate of the IGP and the General Inspectorate of Carabineers inform people about the risks of spreading and getting sick with the COVID-19 virus.

Also, on Saturday and Sunday, the transport units of the National Army helped 84 medical staff to get to work or home.

So far, the Army has involved about 1,500 military and 211 technical units to provide support to the Police and doctors fighting COVID-19.
