The State Flag, honored in all the garrisons of the National Army (video)

CHISINAU, April 27, 2020 — State Flag Day was marked today in all garrisons of the National Army, in a small setting, in connection with the epidemiological situation in the country caused by the new coronavirus.

Thus, the celebration started with a flag-raising ceremony in front of the Government of the Republic of Moldova. He was raised on the mast by soldiers of the Honor Guard Company.

The event continued on the plateau of the Ministry of Defense, where the State Flag was hoisted in the presence of the commander of the National Army, Brigadier General Igor Gorgan, and the Secretary General of State, Rostislav Rotari.

Also, the symbolic ceremonies in honor of the Tricolor were organized in the units of the National Army from the garrisons of Chisinau, Balti, Cahul and Ungheni.

The state flag was also celebrated by Moldovan soldiers from UN missions in South Sudan, the Central African Republic and from the KFOR operation in Kosovo.

It should be noted that the State Flag Day of the Republic of Moldova is marked every year on April 27. The holiday was instituted by the Chisinau Parliament on April 23, 2010. The tricolor was officially designated the State Flag on April 27, 1990, by the deputies of the first Legislature.
