Moldovan-Polish cooperation in the field of defense, discussed by Minister Alexandru Pinzari and Ambassador Bartlomiej Zdaniuk



CHISINAU, July 15, 2020 - The Minister of Defense Alexandru Pinzari had a meeting with the Ambassador of Poland to the Republic of Moldova, Bartlomiej Zdaniuk, at the headquarters of the defense institution.

On the agenda of the discussions were topics regarding the regional situation, the cooperation of the National Army with international organizations and external partners, including Poland, as well as the prospects for the development of bilateral relations in the defense segment.

Minister Alexandru Pinzari thanked the Polish side for the study opportunities offered to the National Army soldiers in various courses held in Polish institutions and the opportunities for participation of representatives of the Ministry of Defense in international exhibitions organized annually in the field of the defense industry.

Alexandru Pinzari also appreciated the financial assistance provided for the implementation of the NATO / PpP Project on the destruction of pesticides and hazardous chemicals in the Republic of Moldova, Poland being the country where they were transported and destroyed.

Officials also addressed the possibility of Poland providing support for project implementation under Phase II of the Defense Capacity Building Initiative.

For his part, Bartlomiej Zdaniuk mentioned that he will work to intensify cooperation between the defense institutions of the two countries.

 

Moldovan-Polish military cooperation began in 1998.
