Anniversaries in the National Army

CHISINAU, November 5, 2020 - Two units of the National Army - the Special Purpose Battalion (BDS) "Fulger" and the Presidential Orchestra - celebrated today 28 years since its creation.

Present at the anniversary ceremony, Minister of Defense Alexandru Pinzari congratulated the military and civilian employees of the subdivisions, mentioning their contribution to promoting the image of the National Army in the country and abroad.

"On the 28th anniversary of its creation, the Presidential Orchestra has become a business card not only of the National Army, but also of the Republic of Moldova. They are the ones we proudly admire whenever they participate in military parades, protocol ceremonies, military-patriotic festivities, military applications, and military oath-taking activities. Dressed to the nines and always prepared, the musicians of the Presidential Orchestra represented the National Army at international festivals far from the Republic of Moldova, in countries such as Belgium, France, Germany, Romania and the Russian Federation ", said Alexandru Pinzari referring to the performances of the Presidential Orchestra.

About the military from Fulger Battalion, the Minister of Defense said: “For them, the trainings in a high tempo are normality, proving every day that the training and trainings represent the key to the successful accomplishment of all the missions. Trained at the highest level, the military from Special Force Battalion "Fulger" represent us successfully both nationally and internationally.

"For performances in the service and on the occasion of the anniversary, the Minister of Defense Alexandru Pinzari and the commander of the National Army, Brigadier General Igor Gorgan, offered distinctions and diplomas. 

At the end, the Presidential Orchestra presented an artistic program of military music and Moldovan traditional folk music.
