The problems of the veterans in the sights of the Minister of Defense

CHISINAU November 10, 2020 - Minister of Defense Victor Gaiciuc paid a working visit to Causeni district today.

During the visit, Minister Gaiciuc had a meeting with representatives of local public authorities and other institutions in the district, including the Causeni Territorial Military Center, to discuss its work in the region.

At the same time, Victor Gaiciuc, who is also the president of the National Council for the problems of war veterans, had a meeting with the veterans from Causeni district. During the dialogue, the Minister of Defense mentioned that veterans who fought in the war face several medical, social and legislative problems, especially in the pandemic context of the country. "As Minister of Defense, I assure you of the full support of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and the Government in solving the most pressing problems faced by those who fought in the wars, the families of the fallen and the war widows. Here I refer especially to the improvement of living conditions, balneo-sanatorium treatment and rehabilitation, allowances for different categories of veterans, the granting of new type of cards", said the official.

Minister Gaiciuc also informed about the operation of the VETERAN (022 25 20 65) trust telephone line within the Ministry of Defense, which veterans can call with confidence when they face a problem. The working visit to Causeni took place in accordance with Government Decision no. 20 of 15.01.2020 "On the National Council for the problems of war veterans".
