Young soldiers, Take Military Oath (video)

CHISINAU, November 13, 2020 - About 500 soldiers from the "Stefan cel Mare" Motorized Infantry Brigade, the Anti-Air Missile Regiment and the National Army Military Training Base took the military oath.

The event was attended by the Minister of Defense Victor Gaiciuc, the commander of the National Army, Brigadier General Igor Gorgan, as well as representatives of the command corps.

Victor Gaiciuc congratulated the young soldiers on the occasion of taking the military oath, mentioning that this is an important moment for each of them. "The oath is the act of conscience, by which a young man assumes the responsibilities of a soldier. I am sure that during your military service you will accumulate knowledge in the military art and you will become true defenders of the Fatherland ", said the Minister of Defense.

At the same time, Minister Gaiciuc informed the young people about the restrictions related to the pandemic situation in the country that annul some privileges of the soldiers, such as going on short-term holidays at home after the military swearing-in ceremony. "As Minister of Defense, I take responsibility for every soldier, especially during the pandemic. In these conditions, I am available for communication with you and your parents through the reliable phone 022 23-84-12 and social networks", specified Victor Gaiciuc.

In the same context, the official spoke to the soldiers in time about the possibility of enlisting in the military service by contract and the facilities they can benefit from, such as decent salaries, attractive social package and insurance with service housing.

It should be mentioned that the term military service lasts 12 months.
