The National Army voluntarily donates blood and plasma for anti-Covid treatment (video)



CHISINAU November 25, 2020 - More than 500 National Army servicemen, civilian employees of the National Army, as well as students of the Military Academy "Alexandru cel Bun", today donated blood and plasma in the garrisons of Chisinau, Balti and Cahul.

According to the head of the Military Inspectorate, Colonel Victor Pirtina, four special mobile teams were created in the "Moldova", "Stefan cel Mare" and "Dacia" Motorized Infantry Brigades and at the AFMA headquarters to carry out the respective action. At the same time, the military from the General Staff Regiment "Brigadier General "Nicolae Petrica" went to the National Transfusion Center in Chisinau to donate blood and plasma.

The source added that more than 60 doses of plasma were donated during the event for anti- Covid treatment.

Along with the military was the Minister of Defense Victor Gaiciuc, who thanked those present for the receptivity and the beautiful gesture that gives patients a chance at life. "The military often participates in blood and plasma donation campaigns, thereby proving once again that the military is with society. I want to thank you for the availability you show every time by participating in large numbers in such events ", said the Minister of Defense. The campaign, which runs from November to December, is organized by the Ministry of Defense, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection and the National Blood Transfusion Center.

It should be mentioned that in September, the military and civilian employees of the National Army donated 466 doses of blood and 83 doses of plasma, in a similar campaign.

 

Annually, over 2000 military, but also civilian employees of the National Army, donate blood in campaigns organized in partnership with specialized institutions in the country.
