Moldovan peacekeepers begin training in Kosovo (video)



 CHISINAU, January 25, 2021 - Soldiers from the 14th National Army contingent, who recently left for the Kosovo region, have begun training activities at the "Camp Vilaggio Italia" base.

According to the contingent`s commander, Lieutenant-Colonel Anton Anghelcev, Moldovan peacekeepers are training with the Italian military on crowd control and fire phobia.

At the same time, the American colleagues teach the officers, sergeants and soldiers of the National Army the best practices of boarding and disembarking from the helicopter, as well as medical evacuation of the wounded.

The source specified that once the training sessions are over, our military will start the actual missions in the area of responsibility, including guarding the Visoki Decani Monastery in the region and the base for the permanent deployment of contingents from the Multinational Battle Group West - MNBG-W).

Also, the Moldovan infantrymen will carry out patrol missions, and the engineers - search the ground to detect explosive objects.

It should be noted that KFOR-14 was seconded to Kosovo in January, where it will be for six months.
