The National Army is training officers for peacekeeping missions



CHISINAU, March 22, 2021 - In the National Army, has started the Training Course for officers expected to carry out missions in the Security Zone of the Republic of Moldova.

Present at the event, the commander of the National Army, Brigadier General Igor Gorgan, declared that the security mission in the eastern districts of the republic is a priority for our state, but also for the defense institution. "This course trains, according to Western standards, officers to be seconded as military observers in the peacekeeping mission in the Security Zone. The selection of participants was rigorous and I am sure that the information received from the best experts in the field will be useful to you in fulfilling your obligations ", mentioned General Gorgan.

According to Colonel Gheorghe Turcanu, pro-rector for the education of the Military Academy of Armed Forces "Alexandru cel Bun", the participants will be trained by representatives of the Unified Control Commission, academic professors, experts from non-governmental organizations and officers who participated in international missions with UN mandate and the OSCE.

The source specified that the training course for military observers for the Security Zone of the Republic of Moldova takes place between March 22 and April 2, within the Continuous training center of Armed Forces Military Academy "Alexandru cel Bun".
