Cabinet of Ministers approves new composition of National Council for War Veterans Issues

CHISINAU, November 19, 2021 - The National Council for War Veterans Issues will have a new composition and revised Regulations. The Cabinet of Ministers approved, today, a series of amendments to the Government Decision no. 20 of 2020 regarding the respective Council.

Thus, according to the document, presented today by the Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii during the Executive meeting, the Council will include the general secretaries of the newly created ministries, the heads of public authorities, as well as the presidents of war veterans` associations.

At the same time, in order to consolidate and streamline the work of the National Council for War Veterans, some technical additions to the Rules of Procedure of the Advisory Body will be made.

The Council, established by Government decision on 15 January 2020, aims to coordinate state policies, programs, plans and actions for the social protection of war veterans, as well as to ensure equal opportunities for the realization of rights for this category of population and constitutional freedoms.
