The pilot course for sergeants, intermediate level, has come to an end

CHISINAU, December 17, 2021 - The graduation ceremony of the first class of the Intermediate Training Course for Sergeants took place today at the Military Academy of the Armed Forces "Alexandru cel Bun" (MAAF).

Present at the event, the commander of the National Army, Colonel Eduard Ohladciuc, handed the certificates to the graduates and congratulated them on their academic success, mentioning that they represent the generation of leaders prepared according to modern standards, which will underpin the professionalization of the National Army.

At the same time, Colonel Ohladciuc thanked the instructors, including the mentor from the Lithuanian Armed Forces School, for their assistance in training the National Army Sergeant Corps. "Thanks to these trainings, we will be able to increase the role of the lower level platoon commander and company in the management of the training act and we will become a modern and interoperable army," said the chief of staff of the National Army.

In the same context, Colonel Eduard Ohladciuc expressed gratitude to the Lithuanian Embassy in the Republic of Moldova and to the Lithuanian Government for the constant support provided to the reform of the defense institution, especially in the field of training and expertise. The training course for sergeants, organized by the Sergeant Training Center of MAAF, in collaboration with experts from the DEEP Program (Defense Education Enhancement Program), took place between November 1 and December 10, this year, in the National Army.

The activity is part of the National Army Training Plan for 2021.
