The leadership of the Ministry of Defense in dialogue with the soldiers of the National Army in Kosovo

CHIȘINĂU, December 30, 2021 - Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii and National Army Commander Colonel Eduard Ohladciuc discussed today via videoconference with the military members of the KFOR-15 contingent deployed in Kosovo.

During the online conversation, the officials briefed each other on the work of the soldiers and the problems they face in the operation.

Lieutenant-Colonel Victor Goja, the commander of the KFOR-15 contingent, said that the troops under his command continue to carry out missions in their area of responsibility, with the Moldovan military remaining equally vigilant during the winter holidays.

Minister Anatoly Nosatii thanked the peacekeepers for the dedication with which they perform their duties in this peacekeeping mission. "I appreciate the professionalism you show in performing your tasks in the KFOR-15 operation, as well as the effective interoperability you have with the military of other participating states. This makes us credible to our partners and gives us the opportunity to increase our presence in international operations of this kind," said the Minister of Defense.

At the same time, Anatoly Nosatii wished all the contingent a happy holiday and asked the military to continue to be responsible.

At present, 41 professional soldiers of the National Army are in the international peacekeeping mission KFOR, led by the North Atlantic Alliance under UN Resolution 1244. They will return home in mid-January 2022.
