Building Integrity in Peace Support Operations Studied by National Army Service Members



CHISINAU, January 11, 2022 - A group of soldiers of the National Army participates, between January 11-13, 2022, in the course "Building Integrity in Peace Support Operations". The training is conducted by experts from the NATO Joint Forces Command in Naples, Italy and takes place online.

The 50 representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff and military units to be deployed in international missions are familiar with the basics of personal and professional integrity, as well as NATO`s anti-corruption efforts in current peacekeeping operations. The training program also includes practical meetings, based on scenarios aimed at the phenomenon of corruption.

The course "Strengthening Integrity in Peacekeeping Operations" is part of a series of actions taken by the North Atlantic Alliance to facilitate understanding of corruption risks, their impact on defense institutions, and the identification of practical actions to strengthen integrity, increase transparency and improve responsibility in the defense sector. It is part of the NATO Integrity Program in the defense and security sector and is organized for the sixth time in Chisinau by the Military Inspectorate of the Ministry of Defense, with the support of NATO.
