Moldovan- Romanian at Ministry of Defense



CHISINAU, January 13, 2022 - The Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii and the Ambassador of Romania in our country, Daniel Ionita, reviewed the bilateral cooperation on the military segment.

Thus, the officials referred to the joint projects implemented and the assistance provided by Romania in various fields, including military education.

Minister Anatolie Nosatii thanked the Romanian side for the good organization of the VI Meeting of the Moldovan-Romanian Joint Defense Commission in November 2021, as well as the official visit of the National Army Commander, Colonel Eduard Ohladciuc, to Romania in 2021.

The agenda also included topics on military reform according to democratic standards, prospects for intensifying Moldovan-Romanian cooperation and dialogue on defense, according to the roadmap signed in Bucharest in November last year, and the latest developments in the regional security environment.

The Minister of Defense added that Romania is a valuable strategic partner for our country, in the context of achieving the objectives assumed within various programs and important assistance projects for the National Army.

In turn His Excellency Ambassador Ionita mentioned the readiness of his country to continue the close cooperation with the Republic of Moldova and to provide the necessary expertise to the National Army during its transformation and modernization.
