Representatives of the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies visit the Ministry of Defense
CHISINAU, February 1, 2022 – Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii had a meeting today with representatives of the George C. Marshall European Centre for Security Studies, who are on a working visit in Moldova.
During the talks, Minister Anatolie Nosatii thanked the officials for the training programs offered to the military and civilian employees of the National Army regarding security and defense matters. "Thanks to the experience and knowledge gained in this prestigious educational institution, today the graduates of the "George C. Marshall" Centre contributes significantly to the creation of a stable security environment in our country, both through theoretical-scientific approaches and practical actions," said Minister Nosatii.
At the same time, the Minister of Defense reiterated the importance of the advice provided by the Centre`s experts to Moldova`s relevant institutions in the drafting of security policy documents.
Other topics discussed during the meeting were the priorities of the Ministry of Defense leadership, the programs implemented with the support of foreign partners, as well as the actions taken in the context of transforming the defense institution into a modern army, adjusted to international standards.
Finally, the parties agreed on the continuation of cooperation between the two institutions in the development of national security and defense capabilities.
It should be noted that representatives of the George C. Marshall European Centre for Security Studies are on an official visit to Moldova from January 31 to February 1 this year. They are also planning meetings with specialists from several state institutions and non-governmental organizations.
