Anatolie Nosatii and Nicu Popescu - working meeting at the Ministry of Defense

CHISINAU, February 3, 2022 - Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii held a working meeting with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MFAEI) Nicu Popescu.

The agenda of the talks included topics on cooperation between the two institutions on defense and public diplomacy, participation of the National Army`s military in peacekeeping operations under the aegis of the UN, EU, OSCE, and NATO, as well as the assistance provided by the MFAEI to the defense institution in its efforts to reform, modernize and transform into a structure adjusted to international standards.

Anatoly Nosatii thanked the Deputy Prime Minister for his support in strengthening the defense sector through external opportunities.

For his part, Nicu Popescu noted that the Republic of Moldova benefits from important support from external partners in several areas, including defense sector reform. The official expressed his readiness to continue working with the Ministry of Defense to obtain new assistance projects and expertise in achieving our country`s strategic objectives.
