Anatoly Nosatii and Oleg Serebrian discussed the current regional security situation and working with the relevant national authorities

CHISINAU, February 9, 2022 - Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii met with Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian.

The main topics discussed during the dialogue were the current regional security situation and cooperation with the competent national authorities in the process of monitoring actions in the Security Zone.

At the same time, the parties reviewed the work of the Unified Control Commission and its role in the process of peaceful and political settlement of the conflict in the eastern districts of Moldova.

The work of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces was another topic on the agenda. In this regard, the Minister of Defense referred to the work and missions of Moldovan peacekeepers, their training in various specialist courses, as well as the needs of the contingent in terms of infrastructure and living conditions of the troops.

At the end of the meeting, the officials agreed to intensify efforts to ensure effective cooperation between the institutions involved in the settlement of the transnistrian conflict.
