CHISINAU, February 22, 2022 - The soldiers of the 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion "Blue Helmets" executed today, a march on a distance of 22 km. The action took place in the context of the National Army Training Plan for 2022.

The start was given by the commander of the National Army, Colonel Eduard Ohladciuc, this morning, in the Military Camp 142.

The peacekeepers moved in a column from Pietrarilor Street to the Training Center of the National Army from Danceni, after which they returned to the place where the battalion was deployed.

The officers, sergeants, and contract soldiers were greeted at the finish line by the Minister of Defense, Anatolie Nosatii, who appreciated the performance and the team spirit, which they showed during the training.

"One of the strategic objectives of the National Army is to increase the participation of the Moldovan military in international peacekeeping operations, and daily training is an important requirement in their preparation. The march that you carried out today allowed you to test and improve your professional skills and at the same time to train for participation in peacekeeping operations, an objective that is found in the Government`s Program of Activity. The good results you have demonstrated today would not have been possible without the considerable effort of your commanders, who made sure that the action was carried out at the highest level ", said the Minister.
