Military attaché of Bulgaria, at the end of the term



CHISINAU, July 14, 2022 — Minister of Defense, Anatolie Nosatii, received today, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Moldova, Evgueni Stoytchev, accompanied by the military, aero, and naval attaché, Colonel Krasimir Krastev, who is ending his mandate in our country.

During the courtesy meeting, the officials discussed the bilateral collaboration in the military field between the two states, including within international organizations.

At the same time, Minister Nosatii informed the Bulgarian officials about the objectives of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, the participation of the National Army in international peacekeeping missions, the European integration aspirations of the Republic of Moldova, and also the regional security situation.

In the same context, the Minister of Defense expressed gratitude to the Government of Bulgaria for the political support within the European Union, especially in the process of approving the assistance through the EPF (European Peace Facility) program, as well as for the expertise provided within the NATO Defense Capacity Building Initiative (DCBI).

In the same way, Minister Nosatii mentioned that he is counting on the continuation of the bilateral collaboration between the Defense Structures of the Republic of Moldova and Bulgaria.

In turn, E.S. Evgueni Stoytchev expressed his country`s willingness to intensify bilateral dialogue, including in the field of defense, but also to support our country`s European path. Moldovan-Bulgarian collaboration in the military field started in June 1995.
