Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii met today with the Ambassador of Georgia in the Republic of Moldova
CHISINAU, September 27, 2022 — Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii had a meeting today with the Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Moldova, E.S. Levan Diasamidze, at the headquarters of the defense institution.
The main topics on the agenda of the talks focused on bilateral cooperation in the military segment, the reforms carried out in the National Army, the participation in international peacekeeping missions, the commitments made by the Republic of Moldova in the context of European integration, but also on the regional security situation.
At the same time, Minister Nosatii thanked the Georgian Government for the possibility of training the National Army soldiers within the "Noble Partner" exercise that took place recently in Tbilisi, as well as for the exchange of experience, and the interoperability achieved between the two armies during the training.
In the same context, the officials discussed the possibility of extending the Moldovan-Georgian partnership on the military segment. The Minister of Defense says that Georgia`s experience in achieving the transformation process of the defense sector could be useful to the National Army.
In turn, the E.S. Levan Diasamidze noted that his country is open to assisting in the modernization of the defense institution in the Republic of Moldova.
