Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii met today with British Minister of State for Europe, Leo Doherty
CHISINAU, October 4, 2022 — Bilateral cooperation on the military segment and prospects for its consolidation were the main topics discussed during the meeting between Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatii and the Minister of State for Europe of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Leo Doherty, on a working visit to Chisinau.
During the dialog, the officials referred, in particular, to the support provided by the United Kingdom to the fulfillment of our country`s international commitments and the implementation of projects and programs aimed at reforming the national Army.
Anatolie Nosatii thanked the British Government, in this way, for the contribution to the training and training of the national Army staff in the specialized educational institutions, but also to the specialized courses, carried out by the British side.
At the same time, the Minister of Defense appreciated the assistance provided in the context of the implementation of the Professional Development Program (PDP) and the Defense Capacity Building Initiative (DCBI).
Other topics discussed were the security situation in the region, and the support provided by the National Army to public authorities in managing current crises, including that of refugees from Ukraine.
