Bilateral meeting between the Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii and his counterpart from the Kingdom of Spain (video)

CHISINAU, December 1, 2022 — “The Republic of Moldova wants to strengthen its defense capabilities and participation in international peacekeeping missions, and the experience and support of the Kingdom of Spain could be useful and welcome in achieving this goal.” The message was sent by the Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii during the meeting with his counterpart from the Kingdom of Spain, Margarita Robles Fernandez, who was accompanied to Chisinau by the Chief of Staff of the Spanish Army, Admiral Teodoro Lopez Calderon.

The main topics addressed during the meeting between the military officials from the two states referred to the strengthening of cooperative relations with external partners, the European path of our country, the security situation in the Black Sea basin and the crises generated by the war in Ukraine.

Anatolie Nosatii appreciated the support given by the Kingdom of Spain in the context of the European integration objective of the Republic of Moldova.

At the same time, Minister Nosatii thanked Minister Margarita Robles Fernandez for the open and constructive discussions that took place in Chisinau, for the first time, declaring that this dialogue could be the beginning of a solid collaboration in the development of the defense and security sector of our country.
