Delegation of the Ministry of Defense at the 2022 Integrity Strengthening Conference in Brussels

CHISINAU, December 9, 2022 — A delegation of the Ministry of Defense, led by the Secretary of State in the field of defense policy, national defense planning and military interoperability, Valeriu Mija, is participating from December 7-9, currently at the Conference in the field of strengthening integrity 2022 ( NATO Building Integrity Conference).

The event is taking place in Brussels, Kingdom of Belgium, in the context of the 15th anniversary of the initiation of the Building Integrity Program (BI).

The conference in the field of strengthening integrity is a forum for the promotion of good practices, analysis of the impact of the phenomenon of corruption in the defense and security sector, as well as identification of the practical tools necessary to strengthen integrity, transparency and responsibility in the defense and security sector.

According to Secretary of State Valeriu Mija, following the visit to Brussels, the Ministry of Defense will receive the final version of the Self-Assessment Report in the field of integrity strengthening. Later, based on the recommendations provided by foreign experts, a new Action Plan on strengthening integrity within the defense institution will be developed and approved.
