Piranha Carriers for the National Army

CHISINAU, January 9, 2023 — The National Army is to receive a batch of Piranha armored personnel carriers from the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The first units will arrive in the Republic of Moldova on Tuesday, January 10, current. The equipment will be received in the context of achieving the objective of modernizing the capabilities of the National Army and based on the Agreement signed between the Ministry of Defense and the German side in October 2021.

The carriers will be used in the training process of the military, who are to be deployed in international peacekeeping missions.
