The new military attaché of Bulgaria, presented at the Ministry of Defense



CHISINAU, January 24, 2023 — Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatîi had a meeting today with the ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Moldova, H.S. Evgueni Stoytchev, who introduced the new accredited military attaché for our country, residing in Bucharest, Colonel Lyubomir Rodopski.

The main topics addressed during the dialogue concerned the current state of bilateral cooperation in the field of defense and the development prospects of the partnership.

The parties also discussed the regional security situation, the priorities for the modernization of the National Army in accordance with Western standards, the objectives of strengthening cooperation relations with external partners, including Bulgaria, but also the intensification of the participation of the Moldovan military in missions to maintain peace with an international mandate.

Anatolie Nosatîi thanked, in this regard, the Government of Bulgaria for the political support of the Republic of Moldova’s aspirations within international organizations.

At the end, the officials agreed on strengthening the bilateral dialogue on the defense dimension.

Moldovan-Bulgarian collaboration in the military field started in June 1996.
