Meeting of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in the Republic of Moldova, at the Ministry of Defense
CHISINAU, January 27, 2023 — International cooperation in the field of defense and the development priorities of partnerships for 2023 were the main topics discussed during the annual meeting of the representatives of the diplomatic and military corps accredited in the Republic of Moldova from the member states of the European Union and the North Atlantic Alliance.
Other topics covered were foreign aid programs for military reform and modernization of the National Army, as well as achievements in the field of implementation of defense policy documents. At the same time, those present exchanged opinions on the evolution of the regional security situation and the effects generated by the war in Ukraine.
Minister Anatolie Nosatîi presented, during the event, the priorities of the defense policy for the year 2023, including international efforts. The official also highlighted the importance of international and bilateral partnerships in the context of transforming the defense establishment in line with Western democratic standards.
Anatolie Nosatîi thanked the partners, in this sense, for the support offered to the National Army in the context of expanding the participation of the Moldovan military in international peacekeeping missions, as well as the contribution to strengthening the defense capabilities of the Republic of Moldova.
