Experts from the European External Action Service (EEAS), on a working visit to the Ministry of Defense

CHISINAU, May 17, 2023 — A group of experts responsible for the implementation of EU projects offered to the Republic of Moldova through the European Peace Instrument (EPF) paid a working visit to the Ministry of Defense between May 15-17.

In Chisinau, the team of European experts communicated about the approval of the decision of the EU Political Committee regarding the granting, in the year 2023, of an assistance of 40 million Euros to our country, to achieve the objective of modernizing the defense sector.

At the same time, they had meetings with specialists from the Ministry of Defense and the Great General Staff of the National Army, during which aspects related to the assistance package for the year 2023 were discussed in the context of the development of the defense capabilities of the Republic of Moldova.

It should be noted that later, the aspects related to the technical characteristics of the equipment that will be offered through this Instrument will be detailed.
