National Army’s Last Rehearsal in PMAN



CHISINAU, August 24, 2011 — Interim President Marian Lupu attended the last rehearsal for the military parade dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Republic of Moldova Independence Day.

The interim president of the country followed the rehearsal from the central stage, along with ministers of the institutions of defense. Marian Lupu was satisfied with the servicemen’s marching. The official said they are 90% prepared for the great event.

Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta praised the National Army servicemen’s readiness saying the Independence Day will be a successful and perfectly arranged event this year.

The final rehearsal in Marii Adunari Nationale Square (PMAN) brought together over 1000 servicemen of the National Army, 400 MAI employees and 120 border guards.

On August 27, the Marii Adunati Nationale Square will host 12 units of servicemen representing all the components of the Armed Forces. The first ones will be the marching servicemen of the Armed Forces, followed by the modern military equipment and vehicles. 65 means of transport and technical equipment of the National Army will be engaged in the military parade.
