Vitalie Marinuta Meets with the US Ambassador to Republic of Moldova



CHISINAU, September 27, 2011 — Republic of Moldova-USA bilateral affairs in different areas, including military, were the basic issues discussed today during the meeting of Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta with William H. Moser, US Ambassador to our country.

The officials exchange opinions about the current bilateral relationship existing between Republic of Moldova and the United States of America and their further development.

Minister Vitalie Marinuta thanked the US Government for the support provided to the Ministry of Defense in term of modernization programs of the National Army, scholarships for Moldovan servicemen in US educational institutions, implementation of joint projects for the entire Moldovan society’s sake.

Vitalie Marinuta congratulated William H. Moser on his assignment as US Ambassador to Republic of Moldova pledging for a further fruitful and mutually profitable cooperation between the states. Ambassador William H. Moser confirmed the fact his country would keep supporting reforms in the Republic of Moldova. According to Moser, the United States would be always committed to being a credible partner for the Republic of Moldova. The American official also revealed the importance of cooperation relations between the Moldovan Ministry of Defense and the US Department of Defense for the further development of the US-Republic of Moldova bilateral affairs.
