CSCA Sportsmen Win Five Medals at the Shooting Championship



CHISINAU, November 26, 2011 — The sportsmen of the Central Sports Club of the Army (CSCA) won five medals at the Open Shooting Championship on the 64th anniversary of the Shooting Sports Club.

According to CSCA main coach, Svetlana Mocrieva, two CSCA sportsmen — Vlad Bejenari and Ecaterina Raileanu — won the golden medal at the weapons category. Moeover, the latter was awarded the title of international class master of sports.

Silver medals were awarded to Artiom Berezovschi for pistol category and Irina Andreeva, weapons category.

Another sportswoman of the Central Sports Club of the Army, Anastasia Jiritcaia, won the bronze medal for weapons category.

This year, a team of the Romanian Shooting Federation from Iasi, Romania, took part in the Open Shooting Championship, along with the Moldovan sportsmen. The coach of the Romanian sports team stated the last time Moldovan and Romanian sports clubs cooperated together was in 1998. “I hope we will have a fruitful cooperation relationship during such kind of championships in future too”, Mihai Axinte stated.

This year, the Open Shooting Championship brought together 52 participants from Moldovan and Romanian sports clubs and schools.
