Information and communication technology service

Mission

The Information and Communications Technology Service has the mission of implementing and coordinating the implementation of policy documents, normative acts, including departmental ones, regarding Information and Communications Technology, ensuring effective management in the ICT field, as well as submitting proposals that provide effective solutions in field of competence.

Areas of activity of the subdivision:

The service performs the functions in the following areas:

1) the elaboration, coordination and implementation of IT development policies in the field of defense and their synchronization/prioritization with the objectives of the e-Transformation program;

2) monitoring/coordinating ICT projects;

3) facilitating information to citizens regarding the security and defense sector;

4) coordination of the application/use of modern technologies (ICT) for the efficiency of the activity of the Ministry of Defense.
