National Army students and soldiers participate in sorting humanitarian goods for refugees

CHISINAU, March 21, 2022 - More than 300 soldiers of the National Army and students of the Military Academy of the Armed Forces "Alexandru cel Bun" assist local authorities in warehouses for the goods for refugees in Ukraine.

According to the Operational Command Center, on March 14-20, peacekeepers from the 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion were involved in unloading and loading humanitarian aid at the warehouse in the town of Vatra.

At the same time, at the warehouse located on the territory of S.A. "Moldova Film" from Chisinau, military students and soldiers from the "Brigadier General Nicolae Petrica" General Staff Regiment participated in the unloading and sorting of donated items, but also in the preparation of food and hygiene packages, which will arrive in temporary placement centers in the country.

We mentioned that during the state of emergency, starting with February 27, the National Army was involved with staff and vehicles in several actions, in support of central and local public authorities, following the decisions of the Commission for exceptional situations. Thus, the military assisted in setting up accommodation centers for refugees and transported people from Ukraine from the Palanca crossing point to temporary placement places.
