Swiss delegation at the Ministry of Defence

CHIŞINĂU, July 3, 2024 — The Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatîi received today, at the headquarters of the institution, the Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in the Republic of Moldova, Guido Beltrani. The meeting took place in the context of the completion of the mandate of the Swiss defense attache based in Kyiv, Colonel Daniel Bader, and the presentation of his successor, Lieutenant Colonel Olaf Niederberger.

The parties discussed the European course of the country, strategic objectives focused on strengthening the defense capabilities of the Republic of Moldova and intensifying the participation of the National Army in international peacekeeping missions. The parties also addressed the current state of bilateral cooperation in the military segment and the prospects for strengthening the partnership.

During the dialogue, the Minister of Nosatîi thanked Colonel Bader for his work and wished him success in his future work. At the same time, the official congratulated the new Swiss defense attache on his appointment, expressing his confidence that the defense partnership will intensify for the benefit of both armies through new projects and initiatives.
