The peacekeepers of the National Army left for the Republic of Lebanon (video)

CHISINAU, February 16, 2023 — The 32 Moldovan peacekeepers left for the peacekeeping mission of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). Today, they took off from Chisinau International Airport.

Present at the military ceremonial organized on this occasion, the commander of the National Army, Brigadier General Eduard Ohladciuc, wished the soldiers success in the new UN mission, which is the first of its kind for the Republic of Moldova.

In Lebanon, the peacekeepers will perform security and guarding missions of military objectives and patrolling the area of responsibility, working within the Italian contingent.
