The National Army signed a collaboration protocol with the International Committee of the Red Cross

CHISINAU, February 17, 2023 — The Chief of the General Staff of the National Army, Commander of the National Army, Brigadier General Eduard Ohladciuc and the Head of the Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Republic of Moldova (ICRC), Doris El Doueihy, signed, today, at the Ministry of Defense a collaboration protocol between the two institutions.

The document provides for the expansion of cooperation between the National Army and the ICRC, especially in the field of international humanitarian law.

The protocol reflects the commitment of the Republic of Moldova as part of the Geneva Conventions to ensure the promotion and implementation of international humanitarian law in the National Army.

The cooperation between the National Army and the ICRC started in 2005.
