Demining missions in November

CHISINAU, December 4, 2023 — During the month of November, the engineers of the National Army executed 14 demining missions as a result of which 18 explosive objects and 522 cartridges were detected and destroyed throughout the country.

According to the senior officer of the Engineering Service, Major Ivan Cornegruţa, during the respective period, military engineers intervened in the districts: Dubasari, Floresti, Soldanesti, Lipcani, Causeni, Orhei, Criuleni, Anenii Noi and Leova.

The source mentioned that all the explosive objects were from the period of the Second World War and were destroyed under maximum security conditions.

Since the beginning of the year, 157 demining missions were carried out, as a result of which 984 explosive objects of various types and 13,031 cartridges were destroyed.
