The Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Internal Affairs will collaborate in the field of preparation for participation in international missions

CHISINAU, December 19, 2023 — The Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) concluded today a Collaboration Agreement regarding preparation for participation in international missions.

The document was signed by Ministers Anatolie Nosatîi and Adrian Efros at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense and provides for the training by the National Army of the MAI personnel for deployment in peacekeeping operations, as part of various training activities in the field, as well as joint participation in crisis management.

“Working with our colleagues from the Ministry of Internal Affairs has materialized, over the years, by participating in joint exercises, managing various crisis situations, including the refugee crisis in Ukraine. Through this agreement, our collaboration expands. Thus, the soldiers of the National Army will share with their colleagues from the MAI subdivisions the experience they have accumulated in peacekeeping missions with an international mandate”, said Anatolie Nosatîi.

It should be noted that the Collaboration Agreement regarding the preparation for participation in international missions and the Inter-institutional Cooperation Plan regarding the training of personnel for participation in international missions and operations was developed and finalized by the representatives of the General Staff of the National Army, jointly with the General Inspectorate of the Carabinieri, in the framework of some workshops held during the current October-November period.
