Conscripts took the military oath



CHISINAU, February 1, 2024 — About 160 young men recently drafted into the National Army took the military oath today at ceremonies held in units in the Cahul and Chisinau garrisons.

Present at the event in the “Dacia” Motorized Infantry Brigade, the commander of the National Army, Brigadier General Eduard Ohladciuc, congratulated the soldiers on this occasion, noting that during their military service, the young men will develop professional skills that will be useful during national and international exercises, both at home and abroad. In the same context, the official mentioned the results of the soldiers recorded during the initial training course and the efforts of the commanders in preparing them for the execution of the set missions.

At the same time, the deputy commander of the National Army, Brigadier General Sergiu Cirimpei, participated in the ceremony organized in the Military Camp in Chisinau municipality. In his speech, Brigadier General Cirimpei urged them to show maximum responsibility and discipline when performing their military service.

It should be noted that before taking the military oath, the young men were trained for five weeks in the Initial Training Course, during which they studied military regulations, elements of frontline training and technical-tactical characteristics of the weapons of the National Army.

After the ceremony, soldiers are given five days leave, after which they will return to their units to continue their military service.
