Minister of Defense in dialogue with the Japanese Ambassador in ChisinauCHISINAU, March 15, 2024 — Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatîi met today at the institution’s headquarters with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan in the Republic of Moldova, H.E. Yoichiro Yamada, and Colonel Akihiko Tashiro, who ended his mandate as military attaché in our country. On this occasion, Minister Anatolie Nosatîi thanked Colonel Akihiko Tashiro for his efforts in developing cooperation relations between the two countries. The parties discussed Japan’s assistance to our country in various important spheres, reforms in the National Army, as well as the contribution of the Republic of Moldova to international peace and security through participation in international peacekeeping missions. The officials also discussed our country’s European course and exchanged views on the regional security situation. On this occasion, Minister Anatolie Nosatîi thanked the Government of Japan for its support to the NATO/PfP project on the destruction of pesticides and hazardous chemicals in the Republic of Moldova in 2013. |
