North Carolina National Guard Commander visits the Department of Defense

Chisinau, March 19, 2024 — National Army Commander Brigadier General Eduard Ohladciuc met with Major General Marvin T. Hunt, commander of the North Carolina National Guard (NCNG).

The agenda of the discussions included topics on defense sector reform, achievements in partnership with the North Carolina National Guard programs and initiatives implemented with US assistance and their role in the process of transforming the National Army to Western standards.

At the same time, Brigadier General Eduard Ohladciuc expressed his thanks for the 25 years of bilateral partnership between the Republic of Moldova and the State of North Carolina, as well as for the assistance provided by the US to enhance the interoperability and professional capabilities of the Moldovan military.

The National Army of the Republic of Moldova has been collaborating with the US National Guard of North Carolina under the State-to-State Partnership Program since 1999.
