Cooperation within the Eastern Partnership discussed by State Secretary Valeriu Mija and Ambassador Michael Roux

CHISINAU, April 9, 2024 — The Secretary of State for Defense Policy, Valeriu Mija, met today with the Ambassador for the Eastern Partnership and the Black Sea of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Michael Roux.

The agenda of the discussions included topics on the current security situation in the Black Sea region and the challenges faced by the Republic of Moldova.

During the dialogue, the parties also discussed the role and inter-state relations within the framework of the Eastern Partnership, as well as support for Moldova’s European course.

The officials also reviewed the prospects and opportunities for medium-term cooperation at bilateral level as well as within international organisations.
