Moldova and France will cooperate in the field of defence

CHISINAU, April 10, 2024 — The Cabinet of Ministers approved today the ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the French Republic on cooperation in the field of defense.

The intergovernmental document, signed in Paris on 7 March 2024, will strengthen bilateral cooperation relations and adjust the legal framework to the current security situation. Thus, the defense institutions of the two countries will expand their cooperation in several areas both bilaterally and within international organizations, which will significantly contribute to the modernization of the National Army.

In order to enter into force, the Agreement has to be ratified by the Moldovan Parliament.
