The leadership of the Ministry of Defense, in dialogue with the new Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to the Republic of Moldova

CHISINAU, June 10, 2024 — Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatîi had a meeting today with the new Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic, HE Nikolaos KRIKOS.

During the meeting, the officials referred to the main national objective of the Republic of Moldova to join the European Union, the regional situation, the military reform process according to democratic standards in the current security context, as well as the actions taken to increase national resilience to current challenges.

At the same time, topics were addressed regarding the current state of bilateral collaboration and the prospects for the development of the partnership in the defense segment, as well as the objective of modernizing the National Army in accordance with international standards.

The Minister of Nosatîi congratulated His Excellency on the occasion of his appointment, wishing him success in his new role. He expressed his confidence that His Excellency’s vast experience will play an important role in strengthening cooperative relations between the defense institutions of the Republic of Moldova and the Hellenic Republic, contributing to maintaining peace and stability in the region.
