Moldovan Officers Trained for the Security ZoneCHISINAU, March 12, 2015 — Within March According to the Interim Head of the Section, Maj. The program will include subjects related to the current situation in the Security Zone; structure, duties, and peculiarities of the service within the Peacekeeping Forces Command; the role and main missions of the military contingent of the Republic of Moldova in the Security Zone; The source specified that the selection of the participants took place in their units and was based on rigorous criteria, so they meet the requirements for carrying out service in the Security Zone as military observers and Main Staff officers in the Joint Peacekeeping Forces Command. Besides the military trainers who have experience as military observers in the Security Zone and UN peacekeeping operations, the participants to the course will meet the representatives of the Bureau of Reintegration in Moldova, OSCE Mission, and members of the Joint Control Commission. Since 2003, 260 officers were trained within this course developed by specialists of the Peace Support Operations Training Center, who were assisted by representatives of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces Command from the Security Zone. |
